What Got You Here, Won’t Get You There – The Quantum Leadership Model

According to F. Scott Fitzgerald, the test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.  However, for most of us, breaking free from the assumed certainty of what we believe is nothing short of terrifying.  To let go of what we think we know for certain and reach for different ideas or beliefs that could shatter some or all of our assumptions is not our natural inclination.  Rather, we tend to dig in deeper over our lives, becoming ever more comfortable in “knowing what we know.”  If you have any plans of becoming an effective leader, you must learn how to let go of the comfort of certainty and instead, learn to flow between “what is” and “what could be.”

Join our presenter, Wayne Whitzell, as he weaves together Quantum Physics and leadership into this impactful and very personal presentation.  Whether you are a seasoned leader or a young professional interested in becoming a leader, Wayne’s approach will have deep philosophical implications personally and professionally for would be leaders.  However, as with all of Wayne’s presentations, he will provide practical tools and actions you can use to take you from “here” to “there” with a presentation style that makes these complex concepts understandable and useful.

Wayne Whitzell, LEED®AP, BEP, GBO

Wayne Whitzell has been an active member in IFMA since 2000. He is IFMA’s 2018 International Distinguished Member of the Year. In 2015, he was selected as IFMA’s Associate of the Year at IFMA’s World Workplace in Denver and was selected as IFMA’s Distinguished Author of the Year in 2016. He is the current Programs chair for IFMA’s Corporate Facilities Council and the Past President of IFMA East Bay.
